Journaling Topics About Being A Girl

Girls Circle
www.girlscircle.com

This activity provides thought provoking questions for the girls to answer in their journals that address feelings about being a girl.

  1. Instruct the girls to journal on the following questions:
    · What is your favorite thing about being a girl?
    · What negative aspects, if any, have you experienced being a girl?
    · What could you do to change these?
    · What gives you pride in being female?
    · Have you ever thought about being a boy or wanted to be a boy? Why?
    · What do you think it would be like being a boy?

  2. Ask the girls to answer the questions that are most meaningful to them. They may only have time to answer a few.

  3. Invite them to share their journal entries if they wish and hold a discussion.
